So I beat Crysis… I know, way after it was out. Anyway, it was way too short. It was like it took you to the top of the climax and then didn’t finish. It was almost as if the game was meant to give you blue balls. One for not finishing and two the price of computer components to run the damn thing.

On of my friends recommended I play through all stealthy. This wasn’t my style. I went balls out and charged enemies with the boomstick. This makes the game ridiculously easier. Drive by boom! Duck behind something, charge up, rinse & repeat. Even at the end when you weren’t fighting soldiers anymore… you had access to fire power that made them mad stupid to fight. I never even used max might unless it was required to in the game. I never grabbed any of my enemies either. Whats the point when you got the bead on his skull?

IMO the hardest part of the game wasn’t even the last boss.

Good thing I borrowed it. I mean what?

I guess if my girl broke up with me I’d teleport everyone the hell away and then go to Mars. Totally. A lot of foreshadowing happened in Chapter 3. We got some personality traits of the guy holding that sign that we have seen throughout Chapters 1 & 2. I like the, “End is today - I feel it. Oh, hold that magazine for me tomorrow!”

Maybe the comedian really isn’t dead? HA.

At this point, I’m not sure to feel sorry for the big blue guy or the girl. I’m doubting the cancer allegations, though the damage is already done in the public eye. Who can prove it? Takes years.

Must read more.

Chapter two went over the funeral. I didn’t learn much except the past on a few of the characters introduced. In the past, we learned just how an ASS The Comedian was. While some points, sure were valid in a black and white world… where are the grays?

Of course, I only have a small narrow view of what was going on in those times. I hope to learn more coming up.

On to chapter three!

Got the first chapter finished! I even read the “Under the Hood” excerpt after the comic.

So, the first chapter basically introduces all the characters, from what I can tell. It does an excellent job in setting the scene and atmosphere of the story. Each character’s personality comes out in either Rorschach’s journal or in conversation. Although I’m not fully sure exactly what the Keen’s Act was,  I can tell it didn’t allow superheros to “operate” above the law. I did notice the graffiti on the wall that said “Who watches the watchmen?” Curious about that indeed.

A lot of questions have been brought up and not answered but without questions there wouldn’t be a story.

On to chapter two with high hopes!

As you are sure to be aware of, the recent Watchmen trailer that has been released has create much hype. I watched the trailer as abjectly as possible and was able to hold back all those, “Happy Happy, Joy Joy” feelings with ease. You see, it is because I have never read the comic nor had I ever heard of it (I’m so ashamed).

In light of this, I will begin reading this comic in the upcoming days. Depending on how engrossed I become determines how many updates you will get. I might do it by chapter or whatnot. Anyway, in case you live in a hole with me, the trailer is below the cut.

That’s right. I just said that IN THE SAME SENTENCE. VisionAire is what it is called. The post says it is really not multi-touch, but that sounds so cool. Take that Wacom. I want to draw in the air. Can you image your entire room as your palette? Video below.

Once upon a time, someone calling themselves Fake Scott McCloud (henceforth known as FSM), set up a blog mocking, critiquing and generally airing their dislike for the webcomic PvP. It is called PvP Makes me Sad. That’s fine. We all have opinions.

Long story short, Scott Kurtz, creator of PvP made a post on Twitter which read the following.

Free original PvP artwork to anyone who can bring me the true identity of the Fake Scott McCloud.

So of course, PvP being a very well known webcomic, the fanboys want this most illustrious prize. And fanboys, especially on the internet, are rabid. So what do they do? They track FSM’s IP to New Jersay apparently, take screenshots of said IP idents, and request for password changes to FSM’s sites.

So what does Kurtz do? He Twitters again.

Whoa. Guys. Easy. I don’t want to know his address. just curious if he’s another webcomic guy. This manhunt is at a 10. I need it at a 4.

To this I say the following. Kurtz, you knew from moment one what your fanboys would do. You know what internet anonymity makes people do. Now that you’re being frowned down upon, you’re back-tracking.
And for what? Because you can’t take a little criticisms? Do we really have to go over this again? Your comic is in a public space. It will have eyes on it and mouths to speak what the eyes perceive. You’re not going to please everyone. You just can’t. There will be critics, there will be people who don’t get the joke. There will be people who down right mock you simply because they can. And just like they can mock you, others can find your address and come to your house and invade your privacy. All in the name of (free) art.

Mr. Kurtz? I know what I like. And I don’t like this.

Disclaimer:
The opinions in this post do not necessarily reflect all of those at ChoiceComics.net. Q doesn’t read PvP as she finds it boring and over-rated.
