Please take some time to check out the random webcomic of the current page load! PLEASE BE AWARE OF HEAVY CONSTRUCTION!
On Writing:
The writing is creative and extremely fun. The story has a healthy mix of situational and tongue-in-cheek humor while also driving a good dramatic plot with believable characters and a rich, well thought out world. If I have any criticism, it is that the earlier chapters had a penchant to have "wall of text" pages, although these are being edited down for the print versions, and with luck will one day be put into the archives as well.
On Art:
Michael Poe is without a doubt a skilled artist. The pseudo-manga style with its own unique flare is quiet appeasing to the eye. Like with any years long ongoing project, the art does steadily improve in quality, but even the opening pages are very well done. It helps that this is not the artist's first long-term webcomic.
On Website:
The website is easy to use and appealing. The archives system is a hair cumbersome, and trying to find a particular comic or chapter can be a bit hairy at times, but since the addition of the built-in wiki, it isn't too much of a chore aside from actually remembering what it is you are looking for (Seeing as this is an epic series).
Also, the wiki is very useful. In true wiki form, it is user generated, with only few sections touched upon by the creator, but as you read, it is an invaluable resource to help you along (provided you don't mind the occasional spoiler in the to-date summaries.)
Overall:
Overall, Errant Story is a "Holy @#!?$" comic. I have been a fan for many, many years, and I will continue to not only read Errant Story, but I eagerly look forward to Michael Poe's future works. Yes, there were a few bumps along the way, but the work stands up remarkably well, and I have even gone so far as to do entire re-reads of the archives on occasional rainy weekends. A solid Five.

DescriptionMeet Meji Hinadori, a psychopathic teenager who wants to take over the world so she won't flunk out of mage school. With one nation already in ruins and a homicidal good guy on the loose, Meji has no choice but to step up and save the world before there's nothing left to take over.
